Babin requests pay to be withheld

East Texas - U.S. Rep. Brian Babin said he has requested that his congressional salary be withheld during the ongoing government shutdown.

“If Democrats are forcing hardworking Americans, our troops, and federal law enforcement to go without pay during their reckless shutdown, then I will too,” Babin said in a statement. “I’ve asked for my own congressional pay to be withheld until the government reopens.”
