Armed robbery suspect still at large in Jasper

Shortly after 9:00 Thursday morning, a man walked into the Sunshine Convenience Store on Hwy 190 and Graham Street in Jasper with a gun, demanding money.

Jasper Police Chief Garrett Foster said the suspect had the clerk lay face down on the floor while taking the money out of the register. He then ran north on Graham Street.

The man who was only identified as a black man got away with an unknown amount of money.
