The AJGA Junior at Rayburn Resort officially tees off today, kicking off four days of elite junior golf right here in the heart of Southeast Texas. With 96 of the top junior golfers from around the world—representing the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, and Norway—this nationally sanctioned event is a major moment for our region.
The community is invited to come cheer on the next generation of golf stars and experience a world-class event happening right here in our backyard.
Not only is this a rare opportunity to witness future PGA and LPGA stars compete up close, but it’s also a celebration of community vision and collaboration.
“It’s such an honor to have these young amateurs compete at Rayburn Resort,” said Jordan Bell, Golf Professional at Rayburn Resort. “This is huge for our area. Many of these kids will go on to the PGA like other past amateurs. Rayburn Resort welcomes everyone to come and watch these great individuals navigate the course.”

This tournament is a testament to what’s possible when vision meets teamwork. Heartfelt thanks go to the City of Jasper, the Jasper Lake Sam Rayburn Chamber of Commerce, and Rayburn Resort for making this dream a reality and putting our community on the national golf map.
