Ainsworth takes Yates into Custody after chase


On Saturday, March 22, at approximately 2:00pm, Jasper County Constable Pct. 6 , Chad Ainsworth, was called by a citizen and advised of a vehicle pursuit originating in the city of Vidor, north bound on SH 105. Vidor Police was chasing a white male on a "crotch rocket" style motorcycle at a high rate of speed. Constable Ainsworth located the motorcycle as it approached FM 1131 north bound. Constable Ainsworth then took the lead in the pursuit. After a short chase, the suspect pulled over and gave up. The rider was identified as Roman Chase Yates, 34 of Vidor. Yates was taken in to custody and transported back to Orange County.


Mr. Yates is innocent until proven guilty.
