Abbott includes our area in his request for Federal Disaster Relief
Jasper County Judge Mark Allen
Many thanks to Governor Abbott for including Jasper County in his request for Federal disaster relief. This brings Jasper County’s citizens one step closer in obtaining the additional assistance needed to fully recover from the recent storms that we have endured.
Also thanks to our Jasper County Office of Emergency Management, the Texas Department of Emergency Management and my staff for working to respond to the storms and in working toward full recovery by coordinating with our partners at the state and federal agency levels to provide key resources and personnel to assist local emergency response agencies and to conduct countywide damage assessments that are required for receiving assistance for our people.
We still have a long way to go, but this is a major step in the right direction.
At this point, we will continue to work with our partners at the state and federal levels to hopefully receive the federal designation from the Presidential Administration through FEMA.
Abbott's official declaration:
We're still requesting that all citizens and agencies report their damages. iSTAT is still the best way to report.
