A hard days work teaches Trustees teamwork and accountability

You see them as they are being arrested, but then what? Are they redeemable? Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard says yes they are. They just need to know their worth in society and to know that they are appreciated.

Havard said, "Not only do our Jail Trustees save the county thousands of dollars in maintenance and upkeep with your Jasper County Sheriff’s Office property. We also teach them about TEAMWORK, WORK ETHIC and ACCOUNTABILITY. Today, these hardworking men were asked to move concrete steps. Two men couldn’t budge them, but five could. Hopefully, they are realizing that you can get more done united than divided."

When they get together, they equal a lot manpower resulting in character building and confidence for the next chapters of their lives.

Havard said, "One of our trustees will be leaving us soon, so the others made sure to send him off with a signed hat from his fellow inmates."
