At 4:40 PM East End VFD was dispatched to an area of Highway 63 E just West of Bishop Chapel Church. Crew found a White Chevy truck with a trailer had been struck by the White Honda SUV. Our crew had traffic down to one way while crews cleaned up the scene and DPS conducted their investigation.

We would like to remind people of the slow down move over law we have in Texas where if there is law enforcement, fire, EMS, tow trucks or TXDOT present your supposed to move over to the next lane (if safe to do so) or slow down 20 miles per hour below the speed limit.
Thank you to Trooper Hardy for coming out to our scene trying to keep the scene safe.
Thank you to Jasper Xxon towing, Hatch’s Towing, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety for their response as well as Captain Jack Armstrong with Jasper Texas Volunteer Fire Department who stopped and helped with the initial traffic set up.
We responded with 2 Engines 1 Brush truck and 7 personnel.
