18-Wheeler carrying lumber caught fire. No injuries reported

Just after noon on Monday, the Lake Rayburn Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call on Hwy 96 and Cr 226 regarding an 18-wheeler carrying a load of lumber that was on fire.

When firefighters arrived, the back axle and tires were also in flames. It is thought that the brakes overheated, starting the blaze.

Lake Rayburn VFD responded with 2 apparatus and 8 firefighters.
