11 Arrested in “Undercover Sting”

BEAUMONT, Texas - A multi-agency undercover operation led by the Texas Department of Public Safety resulted in 11 arrests.



The operation, conducted Nov. 18–20, targeted individuals seeking to pay for sexual services and aimed to curb demand that fuels trafficking networks. DPS Special Agents posted ads on a website known for human trafficking and solicitation. The operation as made the recovery of two human-trafficking victims during a two-day prostitution sting at a Beaumont hotel, authorities said. According to affidavits, the suspects contacted agents through the site, agreed to pay between $100 and $200 for sex acts, and were arrested upon arriving at the La Quinta Inn & Suites on Walden Road.





Those charged with solicitation of prostitution were Adrian Zamora-Diaz, 31;

Jimi Ramirez-Hernandez, 32;

Michael Jose Thillet, 51;

Bryan Robert Lohr, 41;

Devan Wayne Deslatte, 38;

Alejandro Sanchez, 27;

Jose Daniel Rodriguez, 26;

Lakshnana Laayyalasomayaju, 39;

James Edward Hoskinson, 67;

Alam Tajik Khan, 33;

and Christopher Deshawn Price, 39.


Assisting agencies included Texas Highway Patrol, DPS Houston CID Human Trafficking Unit, Beaumont Police, TABC, the FBI, Baytown Police, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, DPS Victim Services, and nonprofits The Garth House and Embracing Freedom. The investigation remains ongoing.
