Trout Creek, TX The Department of Public Safety and Trout Creek Volunteer Fire Department were called out last night on Hwy 87 near Cr 3156 2.5 miles south of Trout Creek at 8 pm for a fatal 1-vehicle accident.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 8:15 p.m., a 2005 Ford F-250 was traveling north. It is reported that the driver failed to negotiate a curve properly and traveled off the road to the right and into the wood line."

The driver, identified as 25-year-old Patrick Barlow of Newton, was pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Connie Smith.
